Finding your community at the studio

A studio is more than its equipment and its schedule. It is the faces you begin to recognise, the small encouragements between sets, the shared relief of a hard class finished well.

Kayan was built as a women-led space precisely so that this belonging could flourish — somewhere you can arrive as you are, move at your own pace, and be met with warmth rather than judgement.

Community does not require grand gestures. Learning a name, holding a door, saving a spot — these small acts are the fabric of a place that feels like yours.

Come a little early, stay a little after, and let the studio become familiar. The practice keeps you fit; the people keep you coming back.
